We look forward to welcoming you to our virtual classroom - book now to ensure your place!

Our Certificate of Customs Competency qualification is Accredited by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) .  CILT will issue the Certificate at the end of the course.

This course is part of the suite of the Morley Consulting CILT Accredited Customs Career Pathway courses which ultimately lead to the Diploma in Practical Trade Compliance.

The programme is taught by an experienced industry professional from a pragmatic and practical view point and is designed to meet the requirements of the EU Customs Competency Framework for the Private Sector.   It aims to give delegates the knowledge and tools needed to fulfil a commercial customs and/or Global Trade Compliance role in any international supply chain efficiently and effectively, making full use of the available customs processes and procedures to obtain the best outcomes for their organisation and customers.

Uniquely the emphasis is placed on understanding requirements and options, being able to assess whether or not they apply to a given situation and what benefits and drawbacks the use of the different options will produce.

This allows delegates to use their knowledge in any environment or business sector and in conjunction with any computer system used by their organisation or customers.

Benefits:

This exciting course sets the standard for professional competence in operational customs knowledge and compliance.   As HMRC move forward with reforms to customs procedures and requirements to update and simplify processes whilst achieving better legal compliance plus enhanced safety and security in the UK more and more emphasis is being placed on companies having someone who is demonstrably competent with customs procedures.  A company’s access to customs simplifications, priority treatment and reduced cost will be based on external risk assessment.

Successful delegates will be able to prove to employers that they have the knowledge and skills needed to work in this field without placing their organisations at risk.

Companies having achieved or seeking to achieve AEO(C) or AEO(F) status will be able to demonstrate that their employees engaged in customs work have the level of knowledge expected by the Standard.

This vocational course is designed with business in mind, covering the full range of essential customs knowledge in a concise and targeted manner, keeping time away from the workplace to a minimum.

Delegates are assessed on their knowledge and their ability to apply that knowledge in business situations rather than on their capability to write lengthy essays or memorise legislation.

The course is kept fully up to date with changes to legislation.
